Shark Fishing on the ICW

Carl and I decided to spend the evening shark fishing on the Intercostal Waterway. We arrived about an hour before sundown and got started right away.

The first shark of the day ended up being the largest landed. A 32” bonnet head shark. Not to big, but fun none-the-less.

The rest of the day resulted in multiple small bonnet head sharks and sharp nose sharks being landed. Carl hooked into a large shark that put three strong runs on him before snapping his line. We are guessing it was a lemon shark in the 5-7’ range.

We saw a lemon about that size crashing on mullet in the shallows about 10 minutes before Carl’s hook up. There is a good chance that was the same shark that he hooked into.
